Christmas 2012 has come and gone....the New Year is upon us and what a year it is going to be! After a lovely breakfast we lazed around and then cooked a veg with the gammon we had and sat down to lunch..
Morne arrived and it is so lovely to see him again...
Presents were aplenty this year and I am so grateful to my children for the thoughtful and awesome gifts..

Last year we said this year was going to be our year...it did not happen...a lot happened..we sold things

we never would have dreampt  of selling..but we did..now we looking forward to the New Year..2013

will this be our year? It sure will be...in the pipeline and nearly there...Amen!
 

Another week and another weekend behind us...went to JBay for the weekend...my mom in Welkom and I spent time with Elmare and John...a lovely braai on Saturday and just watching the 7's rugby on tv made it a relaxing time for me...yesterday got home at 1 so that I could feed the doggies.. Gifts are under the tree and ready for Christmas...

Today it is Monday and a fine drizzle is falling after I did the washing! Typical....another person jumped off the Van Stadens Bridge....it must take guts to do that...life must really be so unchangeable ...where were her her family.....friends? It is true though that when you in trouble your friends are few and far ...meaning they are not there for you and don't want to know your problems...

Here is looking forward to another week...hope all our problems get sorted....need to get some family off my back...

Christmas is fast approaching and this year we are doing it just family...My kids and I will be having a Christmas meal at home and just take it easy....My tree will be up as usual and prezzies displayed under it.. this year it is not about how expensive the gifts are but the thought that went into getting that someone special something they can use and need...
I am grateful for having family to share my life and to be here for me..I am grateful for Phillipa, who is a stand in for my daughter Zanielle that cannot share our day with  us...she is the most caring and special person in the world...all the things I love in a daughter... kind, generous, caring, loves animals, cry when an animal is ill treated, does not value cars or any other expensive "things" as the be all and end all of her possessions.... she is down to earth and takes things as they come....thank you so much for everything you do for me and all the little things you give me that means so much to me... you are beautiful inside and out..

Happy Anniversary!

Today is a happy and sad day for me......

6 years ago today we moved into our house....Peter, myself, Buddy and Smeagle.....Peter is not here anymore but we are still here with a couple more souls...Quinsley, Kashe, Sparty and Phillipa and Elektra has become permanent residents.....

5 years ago today my darling daughter and her beau Ivan got married in Las Vegas! So happy to see you guys so happy and I can go to bed at night knowing that you both found your soul mates..Love you forever..
Dad would be so proud of you

Today we said goodbye to old faithful....so many years it raced on tracks in East London and here in Port Elizabeth....after Peter left Quinsley kept her going and last year she unfortunately got smashed so bad that she could not be repaired anymore...thank you for the awesome thrills and spills on the track and for the memories that will stay with us forever....

Most of her parts will live on in the new car that will replace her....

 How cute is this...Beautiful, precious babies all of them....

 The sign has been up for a couple of weeks now and work is underway...awesome to see this developing into a school ....watch this space!

 This is what took place over the weekend...the Nissan race car got stripped and put on a trailer.. the Combi got taken away to be modified somewhat and a new Nissan shell appeared...

 Very weary workers! Did a lot of heavy lifting and after all the hard work it was time to take a break
